Pastor Steve and Pastor Jonathan went to Mozambique to ask questions: What is God doing in the country? What goals are Mozambicans working towards? How might Crossroads intersect with those two?
The gospel is the Good News, not only for a person's spirit, but for all of life. To explore ways to impact all areas of life, they met with Christian pastors and leaders from the United Methodist Church and from Igreja Palavra Viva (The Living Word Church), with government officials from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, and the Department of Religious Affairs, with Muslim leaders, and with international missionaries with OMS International, Youth For Christ, and other organizations. Through the course of those conversations, some patterns emerged. The need for clean water, the desire for education, and the goal of improved health and healthcare were all mentioned repeatedly.
Crossroads has decided to partner with Mozambicans in focusing on these areas, while always presenting the Good News, to impact the country.
